Americain firms for 2010 Melbourne Cup

French galloper Americain was the most notable firmer for the 2010 Melbourne Cup after winning today’s Geelong Cup impressively ahead of Moudre and Exceptionally. Americain was at $21 dollars to win the Cup this morning although has now shortened into 3rd favourite at $12.
